Dear Colleagues, Namaste and season’s greetings. We, the Department of Dermatology and Venereology, Institute of Medicine, is organizing the 2nd National Dermatology Symposium-2017. We have chosen ‘Dermatosurgery’ as the topic, as this is one of the emerging superspecialities in the field of dermatology. This includes therapeutic, esthetic and advanced surgery of the skin. Dermatology now is both a medical and surgical speciality. This symposium will be a step forward to consolidate this superspeciality. We hope in near future there will be fellowship in dermatosurgery in Nepal. This will be an occasion to meet and exchange our experiences. We have invited eminent guest speakers to share their experiences with us and there will be a hands on demonstration of nerve blocks in dermatosurgery. It will be an opportunity to go in depth in ‘dermatosurgery’, review and renew our knowledge. We have dedicated the symposium in the memory of our residents, Sanjeev and Sunny, who left us so soon.
